About The Innkeepers
Ted and Betty Wolfe purchased the Comfort Inn in December 2003. Ted decided that it was time to look down the road to our retirement and secure our future. "Let’s buy a hotel"…what was he thinking?
At that time, Betty was a Deputy Sheriff for Ouray County and Ted was Sergeant with the local Police department. Ted decides (Ted decides a lot of things) that Betty should manage the hotel so he can work so he can still buy his “Boy Toy’s” ( boats, motorcycles, snowmobiles…..) So…Betty quits her job, Ted continues to work for the Police Department as Seargent, they mortgage everything to the limit and here we go!
What a ride it has been and we love it. We are into our 7th summer and life is good! Betty still manages the hotel and Ted continues with the Police Department.
Betty is a Colorado Native spending most of her childhood in Montrose Colorado, 35 miles North of Ouray. Ted is originally from the Yakima Valley in Washington State but has lived in Colorado all of his adult life.
We have 3 grown children that live in Colorado. Our oldest Son Cody is an Agriculture Teacher in Limon Colorado where he lives with his wife Ruby and our granddaughter Macy and grandson Emmett. Our middle child Tyler returned to us after spending 6 years in the Navy, he lives in Montrose. Our daughter Brittany lives in Ouray with her Husband Adam and our other granddaughters Jaden and Haley and our other grandson Christopher.
Come visit us in Ouray sometime. We would love to see you!
