Ice Skating Ice skating in Ouray is fun and easy at the Rotary Park just south of the Hot Springs pool. Skating is free and ski rentals can be purchased locally. |

Snow Shoeing Ouray has access to great groomed and back country snow shoeing at Ironton Park. Ironton Park is located just south of Ouray on Highway 550 and has 4 miles of groomed snowshoeing and several more miles of un-groomed runs. The trails go by the old ghost mining town of Ironton and several other scenic spots. |

Snowmobiling Snowmobiling is one of the favorite past times in the Mountains and Ouray has great access to all of the surrounding wilderness areas that feature both un-groomed roads and groomed guided trails. |

Sledding Sledding in Ouray is fun and safe on the historic Vinegar Hill which has been the sled hill for Ouray for over 100 years. The town of Ouray closes the hill for sleders from mid-December to mid-March weather permitting. |

Hot Springs Pool Summer or winter the Ouray Hot Springs is the spot to be. With men’s and women’s changing rooms, a hot and cool side of the pool, and some thrilling water slides the whole family can have a blast at the Ouray Hot Springs Pool. The pool is open from 10 AM to 10 Pm in the summer and 11 AM to 9 PM in the winter. |

Cross Country Skiing Ouray is lucky to have close proximity to some of the best Nordic skiing in the San Juan Mountains. Ironton Park just south of Ouray on hwy. 550 has miles of groomed trails that go past old mining structures. |

Downhill Skiing Ouray is only a short drive to some of the finest downhill skiing in the Rocky Mountains in Telluride, Colorado. The Telluride Ski Resort features miles of beginner, moderate, and advanced skiing terrain with amazing views. |

Ice Climbing Ouray has had one of the finest ice parks in the world for 15 years now. The park is maintained by volunteers and ice climbers come from all over the world to experience this one of a kind experience. The park is open from early January to late March, condition dependant. |
